Delmonte Youth’s coach Jackton Omondi has expressed his happiness over his team’s performance after winning 4-1 against St Andrew FC through penalty shoot out in a playoff match at Thika stadium on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Both teams were playing in the Thika Sub County League, which ended a week ago. 
Already three teams has been promoted to play in the Kiambu County league next season(2025-26). The three teams are Delmonte Youth FC, St Andrew FC and Suguna FC. Delmonte Youth and St Andrew FC Players displayed a good match each fighting for the win but after ninety minutes results were a barren draw. Both teams were good tactically with Delmonte raiding St Andrew territory.
Scorers for Delmonte Youth were Leonard Nthiga, Melvin Mikobi, Ian Wanjala, and Emmanuel Khan. Omondi, is optimistic his boys will have a better chance to play in the higher rank of Kiambu County League next season. After promotion to the Kiambu County level, Delmonte Team manager, Alistair Hutton, still hopes to maneuver ways on how they can play in the Regional League next season.
” We are still looking for ways how we can jump to the Regional League, which will give our boys more exposure ,” said Hutton. He feels they will be placed better in the Regional League than in the County level. Delmonte Youth FC were the overall winners in the Zone A group in the Thika Sub County League with 75 points. Suguna FC were second with 61 points. In the Zone B St Andrew were overall winners with 73 points, while Command FC came second with 67 points.
Delmonte Limited Company has sponsored four Clubs which are participating in the Football Kenya Federation ( FKF). Those teams being, Delmonte FC, Gatuanyaga Delmonte both playing in the Division 2 League, Others are Chui Rapid FC in the Regional League and Delmonte Youth which played in the Thika Sub County League.
