GATUANYAGA Delmonte FC finished in the fourth position in the FKF National Division Two League with 46 points. Coach Washington Odhiambo, is optimistic that there is still a chance to re-invent again in the next season 2025- 26. The team engaged in 30 matches, winning 11, drawing 13, losing six games.
“We need to re-energize our team afresh so as to come back with a bang in the next season,” said Odhiambo.

He needs to rectify some areas in the team, to give the players a new life. Some of the top players in the team are Martin Ouma, Samuel Shioso, Chrispinus Lichodi and David Wekesa. Others are Joseph Ochieng, Alex Omondi and Anthony Oyugi. Also we have Richard Otieno, Joseph Otieno, Isaack Musyoki Hussein and Fredrick Nyikuli Onane.
Recently in the Laika Sacco meeting, they were urged to consider putting much effort into savings. The Sacco Chairman Jacob Lesirma, emphasized the importance of always saving in the Laika Sacco.
Top officials who have driven the Laika Sacco to where it is are Mary Ogubi( CEO), Jacob Lesirma( chairman), Joseph Mwanzia (vice chairman), Collins Nyakundi ( Treasurer), and Boniface Ambaisi ( secretary).

Boniface Ambaisi, who is also one of the Directors of sports in Delmonte, encouraged the players to be focused on their future. ” Infact saving is very crucial in one’s life because after you have retired or left your job, you need to continue with your usual life through finances, which means your savings are your future,” said Ambaisi.
