A fierce battle was witnessed in the eighth edition of the Highrise Kenya Volleyball Community (HKVC) mens matches played at Highrise Eastate, Nairobi on Saturday, September 6, 2025. Eldowas VC and Chema VC which participate in KVF Division One League showed their ability and came close to qualifier for the quarterfinals. The Beast, Simlaw Seeds and Githurai Kimbo were eliminated early in the group stage matches against the expectations.
Eldowas VC will participate in the final match of the group stage against Highrise Kenya1 on Sunday, September 7, 2025. Meanwhile, the Chema VC volleyball team coached by Jeremiah Mukopi will play Embavilla VC. In those matches, Chema VC defeated Chepkui 2-1 and also won with same margin against The Beast. “We are aiming to win this year’s title as we use these matches to prepare for next week’s matches in Uganda,” said the Chema coach. He added that he never doubts his players.
In those results, Embavilla VC, who were placed in Group C, beat Mwiki 2-1, took a 2-0 win over Ruai, then were crushed 2-0 by Highrise. In the same group, Highrise won 2-0 sets twice against Mwiki and Ruai. In the women’s matches, Highrise Kenya1 VC, Scorpions and Huruma Queens each booked their place in the quarter-finals after beating their opponents in group stage matches.
In some of the results, Huruma Queens defeated Highrise Kenya1 VC 2-0 and were beaten 2-1 by Villa Queens. “Despite losing one match, we managed to qualify for the quarter-finals where we aim to shut down our opponents and advance,” said Huruma Queens coach Junior Faruk. He added that they must give it their best in the quarter-finals.

In the women’s results: Villa Queens 2-1 Jacaranda, Deaf 2-0 Whelldone, Whelldone 2-0 Babdogo, Panthers 2-0 Babadogo, Panthers 2-0 Whelldone, Deaf 2-0 Babadogo, Panthers 2-0 Deaf.
